Nature Photography: Exhibition
Visit the Library and discover the beauty of nature. This exhibition features the work of 16 students who took part in the Nature Photography micro-credential, organised by the Centre for the Liberal Arts and Sciences during Semester 2 of 2024. The exhibition will be displayed until 30 April.
Participants ranged from complete beginners to passionate hobbyists, all of whom developed their skills through a mix of lectures, presentations, and field excursions across the island. Using their own equipment, students captured Malta’s landscapes, turning their learning into artistic expression.
Each panel on display consists of 8 original prints, highlighting the students’ creativity, technical growth, and unique perspectives.

Valletta Campus Library
Amazing update! More books have been added to the Prof. Jeremy Boissevain collection! Available at the Valletta Campus Library.
Since April 2024 more than 300 books which were owned by the esteemed Dutch anthropologist, Prof. Jeremy Boissevain (1928-2015), have been newly added to his collection, thanks to a donation generously made by his wife and daughters. Astoundingly, more than 200 of these newly added books are uniquely housed by the Valletta Campus Library and therefore are only discoverable there.

What's new in Melitensia
Melitensia's book of the month – April 2025
Salvate Nos: Saving the Notarial Archives edited by Dr Joan Abela and published by Notarial archives.
The book delves into the historical significance of Malta's Notarial Archives, which house a vast collection of notarial deeds and documents dating back several centuries. These records offer invaluable insights into Malta's social, economic, and cultural history. The book also reflects the ongoing efforts and initiatives aimed at restoring and maintaining the integrity of these historical documents. For those interested in Maltese history, archival preservation, or the broader field of historical documentation, "Salvate Nos" provides a comprehensive overview of the Notarial Archives' past, present, and envisioned future. It serves as both an informative resource and a call to action to support the preservation of Malta's rich documentary heritage.
