The official launch of the latest Malta University Press publication, 'Mediterranean Jews, Crypto-Jews and the Inquisition in Early Modern Malta' by Prof. Carmel Cassar, was held at the Oratory of the Immaculate Conception, at the Jesuit Church, Valletta on Friday 28 March.
Keynote speeches were delivered by Prof. Ä orġ Mallia, Rev. Fr Nicholas Doublet, Dr Philip Farrugia Randon, and the author.
Guests were also treated to some delicious Jewish treats, including adjwe (a date-filled semolina pastry).
