We highlight the performance dimension of the three areas, integrating the interplay between the technical, artistic, and critical aspects of performance within an array of theoretical contexts in contemporary and historical practice.
Our School guides students to develop the skills and expertise in their respective disciplines for the 21st century. This means that our programmes integrate theoretical and practical approaches with a focus on frameworks and techniques that support creative processes in the performing arts and the community.
Initially, students are expected to master the fundamentals of their subject and engage in collaborative activities, including an annual outreach event and festival that bring together students from Dance, Music, and Theatre.
As they progress through their programmes, students are encouraged to further explore notions of interdisciplinarity as well as applicability. There is a whole range of professional opportunities today, locally and internationally, and we recognise the importance for our students to graduate and work creatively in performance, education, community, research, and cultural management.
