The University of Malta's School of Performing Arts is committed to fostering community engagement and accessibility through a diverse range of outreach initiatives.
Central to these efforts is the SPACE Project, which encompasses an annual outreach event, the Performing Arts Encounters series, and collaborative activities like community dance classes and alumni initiatives.
The School also brings the arts to the wider public through performances, including those featured in the annual SPA Festival. This includes productions from Year 1 & 2 of Theatre, Final Choreography of Year 3 Dance Students, and Final Music Recitals.
Tailored educational programmes further extend our reach to niche subjects, such as the two-year evening diploma course in Wind Band Studies, designed to support and attract musicians from local wind bands.
Strengthening these initiatives are partnerships and collaborations with esteemed organizations, including the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra, the Notarial Archive Museum, Opening Doors, and the Malta Band Clubs Association, fostering a vibrant cultural exchange that enhances the performing arts landscape.
