Ing. Azzopardi is a Clinical Engineer by profession. He graduated as an Electrical and Electronics Engineer from the University of Malta in 2009 and has presently completed his specialization through a taught Master's degree in Clinical Engineering.
Ing. Azzopardi is currently employed as a Biomedical Systems Engineer with the Centre for Biomedical Cybernetics at the University of Malta, where he specializes on medical image processing, signal processing and gait analysis. He is currently reading for a PhD in Ultrasound Medical Image Processing at Cardiff University.
His research interests include: Biomedical Engineering, Medical Image Processing, Ultrasound Imaging and Capsule Endoscopy, Clinical Engineering and Healthcare Management, Hospital Design and Infrastructure
