Dr. Ermira Tartari Bonnici is a Lecturer at the Department of Nursing, Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Malta. She graduated with a B.Sc. in Nursing (Hons.) an M.Sc. in Health Services Management from the University of Malta, and PhD in Global Health from University of Geneva, Switzerland.
Dr. Tartari Bonnici teaches in the area of infection prevention and control, healthcare-associated infections and patient safety to undergraduate nursing students, to qualified healthcare professionals in an online bachelor's degree programme, and to students on the Masters programmes within the Faculty of Health Sciences. She supervises dissertations at undergraduate and post-graduate level.
She has been involved in international projects on prevention and control of healthcare associated infections. She was appointed international coordinator within the Department of Nursing in 2021.
Dr. Tartari Bonnici is an editorial board member for the Antimicrobial Resistance and Infection Control Journal and a peer reviewer for various academic journals in her field of work.
