2010 - present: Consultant Paediatrician with a special interest in children with neurodevelopmental disorders presenting in the first 5 years of life, working within the Child Development Assessment Unit (CDAU) sited within St. Luke's Hospital grounds, under the Clinical Department of Paediatrics Mater Dei Hospital. Catchment population includes children presenting with global or specific developmental delays associated with medical syndromes and history of perinatal adverse events, children presenting with impairments in early social communication and social interaction as well as impairments in attention and concentration. Particular interest in early presentations within the Autism Spectrum Disorder. Professional input includes holistic support of families and their children in close liaison with an extensive multidisciplinary team of therapists, psychologists and other Consultant paediatricians and physicians, as well as Social and Educational Support agencies and NGOs. Representative of the Department of Health on the National Autism Council
