Kirsty Azzopardi graduated with a B.A. (Hons) in Maltese in 2019 and finished her M.A. in Linguistics in 2022. Her research has mainly focused on the verb chain in Maltese. She is currently reading for a Ph.D. with the Department of Maltese at the University of Malta on the argument structure of motion verbs in Maltese. She is also interested in dialectal variation and has been working on a research project concerning morphosyntactic variation in the dialects of Maltese. She has presented her research at both local and international conferences. Apart from linguistic research, she teaches Medical Maltese and has lectured Maltese at the Junior College. She is also a member of the board working on classifying phonetic-orthographic variants in Maltese, leading to the publication of Deċiżjonijiet 3.
