Manwel Debono is a Chartered Occupational Psychologist (British Psychological Society) and has worked as an academic at the University of Malta since 2003. He served as Director of the Centre for Labour Studies for five years. He has been involved in many national and European research projects about the labour market and the world of work, and published numerous peer reviewed papers, reports, monographs, chapters and books. He has contributed to the European Foundation for the Improvement of Living and Working Conditions for two decades, and to the European Employment Policy Observatory for over a decade. His research interests include industrial relations, working conditions, human resources, and career guidance and development.
