Mr. Sameer Kumar Jasra has worked in Information Technology related and Software Development industry for more than 8 years. Having an insatiable passion to learn, he did his bachelor's in Computer Science Engineering and master's in Management Information Systems & Global Marketing from INDIA, which combined with his work experience has equipped him with the right blend of business acumen and technical expertise.

Mr. Sameer is working as Research Support Officer II at University of Malta alongside pursuing his PhD. in Aerospace Systems & Machine Learning. The curiosity to research, analyse, predict and his interest to dive deeper into technology and management field propelled him to study and work in field of machine learning and use of data science in organisations.

Currently he is working at Institute of Aerospace Technologies, University of Malta along with QuAero as an industrial partner on project named Smart Flight Data Monitoring (Smart FDM). The aim of the project is to computationally analyse flight data for insights, reveal patterns and trends by using modern machine learning techniques and big data techniques. The purpose is to improve airline operations, safety and efficiency of flights.

His other aviation industry related project included, Electronic Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (eMRO) of aircraft. He had also worked for development of applications for humanoid Robot at Ascent Software, Malta. He had also handled projects like Management Information System, Inventory Management System and Personnel Management System. His work experience also included researching market data for new clients, products and analysing consumer behaviour.
