Referenda in Malta

Only seven referenda have ever been conducted in Malta, one of them in the nineteenth century, three in the twentieth century, and another two in the twenty-first century. Questions put to the voters and the voting results are available online.

The current legislation that regulates the conduct of referenda is the Referenda Act [PDF] of 1973, as amended by various Acts through 1996.
