Scheduling

The Scheduling Office is responsible for the allocation of lecture rooms at the UM Msida campus.

The use of these rooms is mainly for lecturing and examination purposes, and other University activities, but on occasion might also be available for non-University activities. Requests for venues required for events, or activities which are not related to a lecture or study-unit are to be sent to the Conferences and Events Unit using the appropriate form.

The Scheduling office is also responsible for the coordination of examination timetables, and the allocation of invigilators to a number of faculties.

The UM has launched the Scientia timetabling and room allocation software across a number of faculties. The use of this software assists faculties with creating clash-free timetables and disseminating personalised timetabling information electronically. A number of faculties are now using this software, with more to be added at different phases of the project.
