The Faculty of Medicine and Surgery in collaboration with the Centre for Molecular Medicine & Biobanking organises a research seminar programme, aimed to foster sharing of information and establish a platform for local and international academic collaboration within the life science research community of the University of Malta. These seminars are presented by experts in the field, and we also always welcome the input given by visiting lecturers to the University of Malta, University Staff as well as Masters and Doctoral students.
The structure of these seminars consists of a 45-minute presentation followed by a 15-minute discussion. The content may consist of specific research data and results presentation, or may take the form of a particular life-science related research methodology discussion. We recommend all Masters and Doctoral students reading for life-science related degrees, to attend these fora, since it will expose them to different research approaches and techniques, and provide a path through which they can integrate better with other research teams, and with the general research environment at the University of Malta.
These seminars will be held biweekly within BM402 at the Centre for Molecular Medicine & Biobanking between 3 pm to 5 pm. The seminars will be followed by socialising events with refreshments in which the members are free to discuss research matters with each other.
