The Research Expo aims to give researchers at the University of Malta (UM) the opportunity to showcase their research activities to the wider UM community, to encourage the sharing and cross-pollination of ideas, and to celebrate the success we have achieved thus far.

The University of Malta Research Expo 2026 (UMRE26) will be held on 27 May at the UM Valletta Campus.

Last year, the University of Malta Research Expo 2025 (UMRE25) which was held on 28 May 2025 at the UM Valletta Campus, continued to uphold UM’s commitment to positively impacting and supporting the local and broader international community through research, innovation, and knowledge.

This event is an ideal occasion for demonstrating the abundant amount of research carried out at UM across diverse areas of discipline.
