The Cottonera Resource Centre acts as a hub that co-ordinates links between communities in the inner harbour area and the University, facilitating resource-transfer and capacity-building.

The Argotti Botanic Gardens & Resource Centre, located at Floriana, forms part of UM. The botanic garden dates back to the early 19th century when the first Chair of Natural History was established.
