Erasmus+ offers academics, administrative and technical members of staff employed at European Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) to undertake a training or teaching mobility or a mixture of both, at the UM. The minimum and maximum duration of a mobility is decided by the sending institution and approved by the Faculty/ Institution/Centre/School/Office (F/I/C/S/O) that is concerned at our institution.
When you request a training mobility, a clear indication of the area of interest and any available dates are required. The Erasmus Coordinator in charge of incoming staff considers its relevance and benefit. This decision is based on the collaboration and agreements between both HEIs.
If your request is considered, it is forwarded to the F/I/C/S/O concerned. Requests with which the UM has an Erasmus+ inter-institutional agreement with are given priority.
Once your request is accepted by the F/I/C/S/O concerned, you are informed by the International Office (IO) of the outcome of your application.
You are responsible of informing the host department or F/I/C/S/O of any invitation letters or documents that need to be compiled before your visit.
The F/I/C/S/O is responsible of making the necessary arrangements for the dates of your visit and for coordinating your mobility, while ensuring that your expectations are met.
A request for a teaching mobility can only be considered and processed if there is an Erasmus+ inter-institutional agreement in place in the area of interest between both HEIs.
Your request should include your CV, the area of interest, the topics that you would like to deliver and your proposed periods for the mobility.
If your request is considered, it is forwarded to the Head of Department/Director of the F/I/C/S/O concerned.
