The Irish Leaving Certificate (ILC) will be accepted as comparable to the Maltese Matriculation Certificate as indicated below. The ILC must always include Higher Level passes in a language, a science and a humanistic subject.
Moreover, a non-Maltese applicant may be allowed to offer instead of a SEC level pass in Maltese, another language as approved by the Admissions Board; provided that, such other language cannot be English and applicants whose mother tongue is English shall be required to offer a language other than English instead of Maltese.

Applicants presenting the above grades in the ILC must sit for the Entrance Examination for Admission to Year 1 of the M.D. Course.

If you are looking to apply for a Master's course, we recommend referring to the specific requirements indicated on the Course Finder. In most cases, you must possess an undergraduate degree at a certain classification / GPA, depending on the chosen course.
Applications for Master's courses are always assessed on a case-by-case basis following the receipt of a complete application.

Alternatively, an Ordinary level pass at grade 4 or better in English Language in the Irish Leaving Certificate may be accepted in lieu of the English test.
