English Language Requirements for the Certificate for Graduates of Non-EU/EEA Nursing Programmes offered by the Faculty of Health Sciences

Please note that the Council of Nurses and Midwives may lay different English Language Requirements for registration than those specified on this page.

Deadlines

31 August, for admission to courses commencing in October

31 January, for admission to courses commencing in February 

If the test result is not submitted by these dates, applicants will not be admitted to the course even if all other entry requirements are satisfied.

TOEFL iBT (Grades will only be valid if issued within 2 years from the date of commencement of the course at UM)

Academic IELTS (Grades will only be valid if issued within 2 years from the date of commencement of the course at UM)

Cambridge Certificates

Pearson PTE

OET (Grades will only be valid if issued within 2 years from the date of commencement of the course at UM)

ISET - International Student English Test (Grades will only be valid if issued within 2 years from the date of commencement of the course at UM)

The band varies between 1 and 7 where 1 is the lowest and 7 is the highest.
