The ‘Budding Rockstars’ Conference' has won this year's National Enterprise Support Award (Section A) for Promoting the Entrepreneurial Spirit. This conference is held annually in November as part of The Edward de Bono Institute’s ‘Global Entrepreneurship Week’ programme of events, with the aim of engaging Malta’s brightest young minds in the exciting world of entrepreneurship and innovation.

Congratulations to the main organisers Dr Bernard Agius and Mr Alistair Farrugia at the Malta Communications Authority, the team at the Edward de Bono Institute who coordinate the creative thinking workshops that are held during this conference, namely Dr Leonie Baldacchino, Dr Margaret Mangion, Professor Sandra M. Dingli and Ms Shirley Pulis Xerxen, their students who assist them in conducting the workshops, and all the partners who contribute to the organisation of this event.

Preparations are now underway for next November’s edition of this conference, which will involve the Institute’s students in a valuable experiential learning exercise. Applications for the Master in Creativity and Innovation (full-time and part-time) and the Diploma in Creativity, Innovation and Entrepreneurship (part-time evening) may be submitted on the University of Malta's online portal until 25 July 2019 at 14:00. Applications will then be accepted between 26 July and 31 August against the late application fee, and between 1 and 30 September against the very late application fee.
