The overall objective of MEDIFIT is to enable traceability and authenticity control of traditional Mediterranean foods using latest analytical and software technologies.

The focus will be on high added value Mediterranean products, honey and cheese, which hold nutritional value and are important for biodiversity conservation.

MEDIFIT will develop and demonstrate a flexible, modular and standards-based software framework that provides end-users the necessary communication interfaces and web-based software solutions that facilitate the routine use of innovative analytical methods for assessing food traceability and integrity.
 
MEDIFIT will be addressing current needs on develop and implement innovative solutions, technological tools and/or digital solutions and protocols to achieve traceability and confirm authenticity of Mediterranean food products.
