Abstract: Aims of research: • Bring attention to the value of drawing as a mode of communication and meaning making through playful ways. • To give voice to children during research and explore how drawing s can be used as a research tool to bring out young children’s perspectives. • To explore the play processes that children engage in while drawing. Research Questions: (1) How do four year old children use drawing s as an arena for play? (2) What type of play processes do children engage in when drawing?
