The primary aim of this anthology is to promote prose literature written in Maltese to the wider English-speaking world, including that of non-natives who recognize and utilize English as an international language. It seeks to offer, to a limited extent, a showcase of literary prose samples of an emerging and vibrantly budding contemporary Maltese literature. In this regard, this anthology seeks to widen the scope of native Maltese writing by helping to bring forth into the international English literary sphere the Maltese literary product which, without translation, is only available to a restricted number of readers, the majority of whom reside in the Maltese archipelago.en_GB
