The main goal of this dissertation is to see if it is possible to develop a dance company's visual identity based entirely on light painting. Photographs of dancers doing freestyle routines with lights linked to their key points of movement shall be used to capture the process. Long exposure photographs and the fluid motion of the light sources attached to the dancers shall be used to create light painting. The generated photographs will next be analysed for aesthetic designs, which will serve as inspiration for the dissertation's design portion. A logo for the dance company will be designed at the end of the project incorporating both light and movement. The experiment's outcome will assess the efficacy of the proposed experimental technique and, maybe, lay the groundwork for future research.en_GB
