| Abstract: | Fiorina or The Girl of Glaris is an opera in three acts by Carlo Pedrotti su libretto di Luigi Serenelli Honorati. It was first staged in Verona,1851. This opera features Giuliano a French painter travelling through Switzerland in search of picturesque sights ridicules the Alpine virgin convention at every possible turn.Eugenio, an inn-keeper, Fiorina and Giannetta who are his daughters, Rodingo a huntsman of the Alps and Ermanno, a young proprietor in the village are the other main characters of this opera. |
