Abstract: A poem written by Dr Immanuel Mifsud translated into English by Ruth Ward. The closing line of 'In the Year 2020' refers to a Maltese woman, Miriam Pace, buried alive in her home when nearby commercial construction triggered a collapse. But before the ink could dry on the English translation, it suddenly spoke to the death trap that our own homes, and particularly our care homes, were becoming; our traditional spaces of comfort and refuge now under siege by the invisible.
