Background and Aims: Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia (ALL) is one of the most common cancerous illness amongst the paediatric oncology population. Most patients receive full treatment for ALL within the local oncology centre as patients with other diagonosis require international hospitalisation. The inital induction phase of treatment for ALL is characterised by a lenghty period of hospitalisation which ranges between four and six weeks until medically stable to continue treatment at home. This phase is surrounded by a captivating range of emotions felt by parents upon the return home. The transition of care shifts from a hospital based setting to a home-care approach. [excerpt]en_GB
