Abstract: The ever increasing number of medical radiological procedures being carried out in the hospital needs to be met by appropriately and sufficiently sampled audits of patient absorbed doses. The Dose Monitoring Platform (DMP) is the main tool to be used to conduct such inquiries with the ability to set national Diagnostic Reference Levels (DRLs). Different DMPs are offered by different companies, some of which are also free and open-source. DoseWatch and OpenREM are two examples of DMPs, the latter being free open-source. This project aims to compare qualitatively and quantitatively these two DMPs in terms of data they collect and the completeness of that data. They will subsequently be compared quantitatively in terms of the accuracy with which they can produce DRLs.
