Abstract: For the second year running the Faculty has commissioned an Opinion Survey to help give a better understanding, in a scientific empirical way, how people are experiencing their day-to-day encounters with their life challenges. What is fantastic about this initiative is that instead of academics and opinion makers ‘dictating and analysing’ how people are getting on, it is now citizens themselves who are telling us how life is impacting on them. This data has helped us not only provide fodder for our research but also contributed data that policy makers and politicians can engage with and take action accordingly.
