| Abstract: | Manoel Theatre presents the programme for a vocal and instrumental concert performed by the Philharmonic orchestra "King's Own" (conducted by Carmelo Caruana) and the Jesus of Nazareth Choir (directed by Salv Galea). The concert, which was held in celebration of the 100th anniversary of the creation of the band "King's Own", featured the musical works of Dvořák, Verdi, Leoncavallo, and Tchaikovsky. The performance was held on the 12th June, 1974, at Manoel Theatre, in Valletta. |
| Description: | Two copies of programme included, one with conductor Carmelo Caruana's signature, and the other without. Both programmes include list of featured music with composers and their operas where applicable, photos of Banda "King's Own", conductor Carmelo Caruana, Kor Ġesù Nazzarenu and its director Salv. Galea, and picture of Manoel theatre's booking plan. Programme is given no. 495 in archival records. Retrieved from the Manoel theatre records. |
