dc.description.abstractManoel theatre, in association with the Malta Council of the European Movement, the Embassies of France, the Federal Republic of Germany and the Republic of Italy, the British High Commission, and the British Council, presents the programme for a concert conducted by Mro. Joseph Sammut, and performed by the Manoel Theatre Orchestra (led by George Spiteri) and the Chorus Melitensis (instructed by Bice Bisazza). The concert featured the musical works of Weber, Suppé, Verdi, Coleridge-Taylor, Gounod, and Beethoven. The performance was held on the occasion of Europe Day Celebrations, on the 17th of May, 1976, at the Manoel Theatre in Valletta.en_GB
