| Abstract: | Manoel Theatre and La Compagnia Italiana di Operette present the programme for a series of seven operettas. The operetta titles performed were the following: "Il Paese del Sorriso", "Il Paese dei Campanelli", "La Principessa della Czarda", "Cin-Ci-La'", "La Vedova Allegra", "Santarellina", and "La Danza delle Libellule". The operetta series, which was held as part of the Malta International Arts Festival 1977, was directed by Pasquale Di Lorio, and featured an orchestra directed by Antonio Mele. The performances were held from the 21st till the 29th of November, 1977, at the Manoel Theatre, in Valletta. |
