Abstract: Manoel Theatre presents the programme for a music and dance event "Witet Is-Sliem", held on the occasion of the opening of the new airport runway in Ħal-Luqa. The event featured dances by the Grupp Folkloristiku Nazzjonali "Viva Malta" (directed by George Zahra) and by the Aurora Folklore Group (directed by Paul Zahra), as well as vocal performances from Chorus Excelsior (directed by Alfred Dimech) and the Youth Travel Circle. The event also featured singing performances from the Maltese għanejja Mikiel Abela and multiple singers including Tony Camilleri, Carmen Vella, Joe Cutajar, Joe Grech, and Mary Rose Mallia. The event was held on the 1st of October, 1977, at the Manoel Theatre in Valletta.
