| Abstract: | Manoel Theatre and the Ministry of Labour, Culture and Welfare present the programme for a concert of excerpts from operas composed by Giuseppe Verdi, conducted by Mro. Joseph Sammut, led by George Spiteri, and performed by the Manoel Theatre Orchestra alongside the Manoel Theatre Choir. The Manoel Theatre Choir was instructed by Marietta Magro with choir master Dion Buhagiar. The concert starred singers Antoinette Miggiani (soprano), Phyllis Bajada Abram (mezzo soprano), Andrew Sapiano (tenor), Joe Fenech (baritone), and Joe Vella Bondin (bass). The performance was held in commemoration of the 20th year of the re-opening of the Manoel Theatre, on the 3rd of February, 1981, at the Manoel Theatre, in Valletta. |
