| Abstract: | Manoel Theatre and La Compagnia Italiana di Operette present the programme for a series of four operettas. The operetta titles performed were the following: "Il Paese dei Campanelli" (written by Carlo Lombardo, with music composed by Carlo Lombardo and Virgilio Ranzato), "Scugnizza" (written by Carlo Lombardo, with music composed by Mario Pasquale Costa), "Cin-Ci-La'" (written by Carlo Lombardo, with music composed by Virgilio Ranzato), and "La Vedova Allegra" (written by Leo Stein and Viktor Léon, with music composed by Viktor Léon and Franz Lehár). The operetta season was held from the 13th till the 19th of February, 1984, at the Manoel Theatre, in Valletta. |
