| Abstract: | Manoel Theatre and La Compagnia Italiana di Operette present the programme for a series of operettas. The series featured an orchestra conducted by Giuseppe Bagarni, and performances from the International Dancers of Hazel Hession. The operetta titles performed were the following: "Il Paese dei Campanelli" (written by Carlo Lombardo, with music composed by Carlo Lombardo and Virgilio Ranzato); "La Vedova Allegra" (written by Victor Léon and Leo Stein, with music composed by Franz Lehár); "Cin-Ci-La'" (written by Carlo Lombardo, with music composed by Virgilio Ranzato); "Danza delle Libellule" (written by Carlo Lombardo, with music composed by Carlo Lombardo and Franz Lehár); and "Scugnizza" (written by Carlo Lombardo, with music composed by Mario Pasquale Costa). The operetta series was held from the 4th till the 12th of May, 1985, at the Manoel Theatre, in Valletta. |
