Abstract: | The author gives the reader several folktales that exist not just in Malta, but all over the world. One being Cinderella and Gahan. Folktales are not only the reflection of traditional values, but also the means for the people to project a certain number of psychological preoccupations. The study of folktales requires a thorough knowledge of the people and of their language. In this article, the author studies the meanings behind these folktales and how they differ from each country. |
