Abstract: This dissertation explores the complex relationship between PE and sport and the positive development of youths. The researcher was intrigued as to whether PE and Sport has played a contributing role in shaping adults in the local context of Malta. This curiosity led to a persevering need to uncover key concepts that map the way in which the PE and sport environments help shape our youths; concurrently developing a better future society. Through questionnaires, the researcher sought to uncover adults’ experiences of kinetic spaces in their youth. This data will also identify the ways in which PE and sport helped the participants develop into adulthood. Beyond this, the researcher chose to conduct two focus groups with PE teachers for a balanced point of view on the matter. With the analysed data, the researcher attempted to prove sport literature’s bold claims that PE and sport has the potential to instil fundamental values that contribute towards societal growth. Whilst presenting the findings to support this, it also shed light on the various limitations of the kinetic landscape.
