| dc.description.abstract | Dopo la seconda guerra mondiale, lo status della lingua italiana a Malta era completamente mutato rispetto a dieci anni prima. Essa era stata eliminata definitivamente dalla vita pubblica maltese nel 1939 dopo una lunga ed intensa lotta politica. Una lunga tradizione letteraria maltese italofona venne pertanto interrotta quasi del tutto in quanto l’uso dell’italiano non era più ritenuto politicamente corretto, soprattutto nell’istruzione e nella pubblicistica. | en_GB |
