This research study presents a comprehensive research touching on a biological, sociological and cultural points of view. The gender theories explored in this study inform the qualitative methodology approach favoured throughout the research. The chosen research methods constitute a focus group with participants specifically selected on the basis of their distinct gender identity juxtaposed with self-reflective practice aimed to get a deeper understanding of Gender Performativity Theory. The study translates into visual form primarily through performance and video. The aim is to create an experimental video installation around the subject matter.
