Abstract: This is an investigation on some of the teminology found in the Laws of Malta which is related to companies. It consists of a compilation of terms concerning the overall structure of companies together with their operations as well as other terms used during everyday transactions. Considering that the field of company terminology is still relatively new, during the course of this dissertation it was noted that most professionals still refer to the terms in English. An attempt has been made to look for and to find those terms which already exist in the Maltese language whilst trying also to establish others where none exist. This can be the first move to entice new graduates in the field to start referring to the terms in Maltese. It is also meant to make Maltese professionals more aware of the richness of their mother language. Only 150 terms were investigated in this dissertation. The list is by no means exhaustive as there are various other terms in Maltese which unfortunately professionals rarely use in their daily dealings and transactions. The richness of a language lies in the willingness of its people to use it.
