dc.description.abstractThis dissertation, which I prepared for my B.A. in Religious Studies, is the product of research that I have made on the phenomenon of globalisation. In this work I traced in Chapter 1 what one would really understand by this term. In the following two chapters I sought to elucidate the effects that it has on the social, political and economical aspects. In the fourth and final chapter I tried to reconcile the relevance of the Christian faith in a social background where Christian self identity is considered to be a life style that is not compatible within the parameters of this new global culture.en_GB
