| Abstract: | The thesis endevours to discover whether St John of the Cross influenced Blessed George Preca regarding the concept of the process of man's union with God. I will try to analyse how these two authors envisaged the path leading to this union, pointing out the differences and similarities in their approach by taking into consideration three main steps leading to this union namely choosing the narrow road, a radical attitude of detachment on the Christian's part and God's intervention to purify the soul through suffering and aridity. |
