| Abstract: | School experience forms an integral and vital part of the B.Ed.(Hons.) programme as it prepares you for the world of teaching. The study unit is structured in a way so as to give you opportunities for small group tutorials, weekly school observations and, eventually, to help you to prepare some lessons which you will be able to deliver in a classroom. Members of the Department of Primary Education have prepared the enclosed set of tasks to accompany the tutorials. We constantly strive to improve the quality of school experience opportunities to ensure that it is coherent, realistic and relevant for you as you embark on the teaching profession. This booklet also serves as a guide for the tutors involved in advising, mentoring and helping you on the way to developing into professional teachers. |
