This is one of a series of research projects that attempted to converge in the form of a compendium the varied pieces of research that are relevant to disability policy. It is a much- needed study that helps contribute to the puzzle that we are constructing as a Faculty to map the research strengths and gaps we have in the sector. It is imperative that as a Faculty, now that we are closing up on our 10th Anniversary, have the necessary evidence that will help steer us into the next stage of our existence. A Faculty can only exist within a context and scholarship needs to be a tool that serves the community. Hence understanding were we are at is of the essence and this work led by the Department of Disability Studies gives evidence of this commitment. I would like to thank CRPD for their belief in this Faculty. The comfort of knowing that we have the support of this Commission is welcome.en_GB
