Abstract: In this essay I wish to show that no Christian education without educating for social relationships is possible. Because man is born of man, cared for and tutored by other men at various stages of his life each man must have concern for others as well as for himself. He has a moral responsibility towards his neighbour and it is according to his relations with others that he will prove himself a true Christian. A true Christian has the qualities of mind and spirit. He obeys the two Commandments on which hang all the Law and the Prophets and in all circumstances he loves God first with all his heart and then his neighbour as himself. His life is complete, intelligible and right because he lives in peace and perfect charity with himself and the world. He is interested in right conduct which is honesty and truthfulness, fair play and unselfishness, good faith and courage. How truly educated such a person is. He can be a peasant, a labourer or a craftsman.
