Abstract: This is the report of an investigation into the possibility of setting up a Marketing Research Centre in the Island of Malta, and an assessment of the feasibility of such a Centre. Malta, in order that its economy can be fully developed, must utilise modern marketing tool, Market Research is but one of these although a necessary pre-requisite of any attempt to implement a modern approach to the Marketing Problem. The importance of Market Research has long been recognised all over the world, especially in the more developed Western nations, even in the USSR, a state directed economy, it has now been realised that the end for which production should be undertaken should be the satisfaction of consumer demand.
