| Abstract: | The article examines the Historical Materialist Tradition and its impact on the emancipatory dimension of adult education, including popular education in Latin America, and the Independent Working Class education movement in Germany and Italy. The article highlights the revolutionary aspect of adult education in Latin America, as well as the ideological connection between Marxism and literacy, and concludes that Marxist-influenced adult education programs reinforce emancipation and political literacy in the global culture. |
