Abstract: Despite being widely heralded as an effective form of professional development, teacher research has also been criticised as being too closely aligned with the priorities and expectations of academics rather than those of classroom practitioners. In this interview, Thomas S. C. Farrell indicates that current conceptions of research might need to be broadened so as to embrace reflective practice.
