| Abstract: | Manoel Theatre presents the programme for a vocal and orchestral concert conducted by Mro. Joseph Sammut, led by George Spiteri, and performed by Chorus Melitensis (instructed by Bice Bisazza). The concert starred soprano Antoinette Miggiani, tenors Andrew Sapiano and Aldo Micallef Grimaud, and contralto Rachel Florida. The concert featured the musical works of Rossini, Vivaldi, and Verdi. It also featured the first performance of the song "Te Deum", composed by Maltese composer Joseph Magri. The performance was held in commemoration of the Chorus Melitensis's 10th Anniversary, on the 27th of May, 1971, at the Manoel Theatre, in Valletta. |
