Abstract: | The objective of this research was to investigate the relationship between remote work and the level of job satisfaction among employees in the workplace. Moreover, it aimed to explore the potential mediating roles of perceived productivity, engagement, and personality traits. A total of 137 employees from the financial sector in Malta were involved in this research, utilizing an online survey. The study did not uncover a significant connection between job satisfaction and remote work. Additionally, none of the hypotheses proposing mediating effects of perceived productivity, engagement, and personality traits were validated. However, a robust and statistically meaningful connection was detected between perceived productivity and remote work, as well as engagement. The primary ramification of these results is that expanding telecommuting within organizations may prove to be an effective strategy for enhancing employees' perceived productivity and engagement levels |
